Meet Justin
For me, therapy was such a life changing experience in my high school years, that the only thing I’ve wanted to do in my life is to be able to offer the same sense of consistent presence, healing, and growth to others.
While my family has moved many times throughout my life, I spent the majority of my time in the Bay Area and have always considered it my home. I currently live in central Marin County.
In my Undergraduate studies, I focused in the humanities, majoring in English with an emphasis in writing poetry. I also dedicated a large portion of my studies on religion. I continue both these interest to this day. I next went to the California Institute of Integral Studies, graduating with my masters in Counseling Psychology in their Integral Counseling program. The focus was on a holistic view of psychology, merging Western scientific psychological thought and Eastern/world spiritual practices. I’ve worked in community mental health and at a clinic focused on trauma and children. I am now a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice working with individuals, couples and families.
Outside of the therapy room, some of my interests/past times include: road and mountain biking, hiking, reading with my son, playing with my dog, cooking and fermenting foods (and especially baking sourdough bread), hiking, camping, backpacking, video and board games. All of the pictures you will find on this website I took myself from my adventures around the world.
I’m happily married, and a loving parent and dog owner. I have a strong emphasis on my own self-work with a daily practice to cultivate my own internal arts (awareness, understanding) to better serve my clients.
Those who know me well would describe as easy-going, thoughtful, intuitive, patient, soulful, humorous, welcoming, and adaptable.
